When Is the Best Time to Dive in Sri Lanka?
Unlike many tropical destinations, Sri Lanka offers diving for most of the year. The island’s two monsoon seasons mean that when one coast experiences rough seas, the opposite coast often enjoys calm water and excellent visibility.
In general, the south and west coasts offer the best diving conditions from November to April, while the east coast, including Trincomalee and Pigeon Island, is at its best from May to September.
